The latest Ofsted inspection took place in JULY 2015.

We are very proud that once again we have been given a ‘Good’ rating overall, with “Outstanding” rating  to “The contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children”.  Our Pre-School committee reviews all aspects of the Ofsted report and takes timely action where necessary.

The Ofsted report said:

Staff are well qualified and experienced.  They follow children’s interests and plan effectively to provide children with a range of exciting and challenging activities.

Children’s well- being and safety are a priority.  All children learn how to keep themselves safe and show excellent behaviour and very high levels of respect to others.

Key persons are highly effective in identifying those children who need additional support.  They sensitively work with parents to coordinate children’s learning.

The strong partnerships with local schools prepare children well for their future school days.  For instance, the Manager attends school open days to meet teachers who, in turn, visit the Pre-School to meet the children transferring to their class.

Partnerships with parents are a particular strength.  Exceptional two-way communication ensures children’s good progress from Pre-School and at home.

The leaders have a good overview of the quality service they provide.  They know what actions to take further to make improvements.
